i have read an article in the hindu "‘Sowcar’ Janaki is back" [ source : http://www.thehindu.com/todays-paper/tp-features/tp-metroplus/article3548455.ece ]
so naturally, i did first search in wikipedia & found not much information about the number of movies in various languages. ironically, wikipedia has provided a link for earlier articles written on sowcar janaki.

i am shocked to read that there is no mention of telugu & kannada. instead hindi is mentioned apart from tamil. she might have acted in a couple of films ? according to the article : sowcar janaki acted in telugu [ 20 % ] & kannada [ 10% ]. article source : http://www.hindu.com/2006/12/25/stories/2006122502790200.htm
is this an act of omission? or something more sinister?
